This past Thursday on 2/12/15, I got together with more than a dozen work friends at the Zona 78 restaurant on River Road to enjoy each others company, wish each other well and break bread.
Some people had expressed interest in getting together for lunch or a drink and I knew my time would be limited over the next 2 weeks. Thus, I put together this event. One thing led to another and we had over a dozen people who came to the event. It was great! Sometimes putting something like this together is a great way to see friends before you head to new adventures. Being assertive does pay off at times.
As a wise professor I had (known as Doctor G) once said:
“If you don’t want to be like everyone else, don’t act like everyone else.” ~ Dr. G.
Also, this week two friends took me out to lunch. One on Monday and the other today (Friday). It was an excellent week and there is more FUN next week! Last week I was taken out to lunch as well. I am thankful for all my friends.
